help with video using imovie on a mac book pro?

i have made like 5 videos on my mac ( mac book pro ) and i have used bluetooth to send them to my laptop ( i recorded what i wanted on a phone ) and now i want to put all the videos together to make like a long clip this is to then put it on face book . the video is some body playing to xbox call of duty and i just wanted to try and make it all do it but it wont
any tips and help much apreciated

Try to convert the videos to iMovie supported video format. As you know iMovie supports the most popular video formats including AVCHD, MPEG-2, DV-Standard and HDV (High Definition Video), QuickTime Movie(including mov, m4v, mp4), iSight, MEPG-4 etc.

You didn't tell us which phone. Many save to a "3gp" format. In order for iMovie (or any other video editor, including Windows OS editors), you need to transcode - convert - the video first.



MPEG Streamclip is a good one

Transcode to a MOV or MP4 format then bring the video into iMovie.



Warning: Video capture by phones is VERY compressed. Do not expect great quality on a large screen.
